It's not the fact that they are being treated like a child, or talking in a child's voice... it's the go go ga ga, baby talk that was really annoying. Toddlers and very young child DON'T do the "I'b just a wittle bwaby" type of speech... Only adults talking to babies use that type of speech, but the little ones don't actually talk that way. I didn't have an issue with the adults talking down to the child, it was an issue of the child doing the baby talk. I see that it doesn't last for more than a third of the first episode so it's a none issue anyway.

the difference is that most isekai the people who die are older, and recall all there memories, i would expect them to know how to speak.

So according to a fan wiki and MAL, the VA for the English dub MC is Trina Nishimura. You might know her as Mikasa, Amadeus / Kurisu, or earphone jack.
You can check anime voice over wiki, or MAL. This anime doesn't seem to be on Behind the Voice Actors, sadly.

While the voice direction is awful, if this is her... I found new respect for how well she can disguise her voice.

It doesn’t need to be mature but they should avoid making them sound like “that” even children who speak like this aren’t particularly annoying but this was painful plus I doubt the sub sounded like this

when was the last time a show remotely had kids speak with actual lisp an tone fluctuation so don't claim it would sound so different XD and saying the sub does not sound like this when did subs say full English words in sub all we may have is the Moe Girl or the guy who did not even try XD
